About Marty Bergen
Marty Bergen is a renowned figure in the realm of bridge, recognized as a distinguished U.S. bridge teacher, player, and author. Holding the titles of ten-time national champion, ACBL Grand Life Master, and World Bridge Federation World International Master, his remarkable career led him to retire from competitive play in 1993 to focus on teaching and writing. In recognition of his influence within the bridge community, Marty was recently acknowledged as one of the 22 most influential individuals in the history of bridge. Serving as a columnist for the ACBL Bridge Bulletin since 1976, he has authored 69 esteemed bridge books, including two recipients of the ABTA Bridge Book of the Year award: "Points Schmoints!: Bergen's Winning Bridge Secrets" in 1996 and "Declarer Play the Bergen Way" in 2005.
